Sozos Karageorgiou, eBOS R&D Technical Project Manager presents the vision and accomplishments of the 5th Generation connected and automated mobility cross-border EU trials (5G-ROUTES) project along with eBOS participation and contribution. 5G-ROUTES goal is to enable the EU to achieve its goal of becoming a world leader by accelerating the uptake of connected and automated mobility (CAM) services for fully autonomous, safer, cleaner, more traffic-efficient, user-friendly and reliable mobility, and for seamless and uninterrupted delivery of interoperable cross-border CAM services. This will be enabled by widespread 5G coverage and by the large-scale deployment of CAM services in all urban areas and along major transport routes across Europe.
