BioSPRINT project marks the return to in physical meetings with its 5th General Assembly

On the 21st and 22nd of June, the 5th General Assembly of the BioSPRINT project took place in Frankfurt, Germany, at the offices of the host and coordinating organisation, DECHEMA. Ms. Karoline Wowra, the Project Coordinator warmly welcome the representatives from the 13 partners from 8 European countries. The consortium had the opportunity, and great pleasure, to meet in person for the first time since the commencement of the project. Dr. Charalambos Klitis, R&D Project Manager, represented eBOS.

The meeting was organised over two days, with the first day focusing on the technical work packages of the project. The WP leaders, alongside the Task leaders, presented the work done over the past six months and the plan work ahead. The focus was given to the exchange of experimental data among the WPs.

During the second day of the meeting, the consortium focused towards the Exploitation, Dissemination and Management aspects of the project. Extensive studies and simulations were performed for the integration and validation of the current experimental methods with industrial standards. Furthermore, the consortium, through extensive research, examined the sustainability of the proposed idea and methodology, taking into account various socioeconomic variables.

eBOS contributed to the meeting with the presentation of results related to Machine Learning (ML) models. Using ML models prepared at an earlier stage of the project, eBOS analysed current experimental data for possible trends toward future planning. Furthermore, as the Quality Assurance and Risk Management manager, eBOS presented the current status of the project’s deliverables and with the help of the WPs leaders, has identified and presented new risks and associated mitigation measures for the project. Finally, eBOS contributed to the dissemination activities of the project by updating the project’s website and social media channels, as well as helped to organise the project’s webinars and advertised the project’s activities.
