Challenge & Objectives
CORE was Driven by the Requirements of:
the Customs, law enforcement authorities, and other agencies nationally and internationally to increase effectiveness of security & trade compliance, without increasing the transaction costs for business and to increase co-operative security risk management (supervision & control);
the business communities, specifically shippers, forwarders, terminal operators, carriers and financial stakeholders to integrate compliance and trade facilitation concepts like green lanes and pre-clearance with supply chain visibility and optimisation.
In CORE, eBOS Technologies delivered ICT solutions and web-based tools with great satisfaction from the partners and the Coordinator (EUROPEAN COUNCIL OF TRANSPORT USERS). eBOS led the development of the Risk Management Solution (RMS) and the Global Supply Chain Visibility Tool (GSCVT). RMS combines a set of services in order to provide guidance to logistics operators and assist these stakeholders in managing risks within their supply chain. GSCVT displays real-time data feeds collected from heterogenous systems collected along the logistics supply chain. After project’s completion, eBOS utilised some of the RMS components and reused the methodology applied in GSCVT to enhance the WiseBOS Suite. This resulted in the WiseBOS Suite, fusing different information sources more efficiently and supporting decision-making with increasingly reliable and transparent risk calculations.
