eBOS Attends the International Defence & Security Exhibition, DEFEA!
Between the 9th and 11th of May 2023, eBOS R&D Program Manager/Researcher, Dr. Andrianos Yiorkas, participated in the 2nd edition of the International Defence & Security Exhibition, DEFEA, held in Athens, Greece.
DEFEA is a high-profile international defence exhibition that attracts top-notch companies from around the world to showcase their latest land, naval, aerospace, national and cyber security defence systems. Organised under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, this year’s exhibition was focused on the Greek defence industry, highlighting Greece as one of the key players in the wider Mediterranean and Balkan region.
This year’s edition brought together Ministers of Defence, Deputy Ministers, and Chiefs of Armed forces from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Italy, North Macedonia, Romania, and Slovakia. The political and military leadership, as well as other senior officials, discussed the latest global geopolitical rearrangements, the possibility of strengthening bilateral and multilateral formations, and initiatives at the level of the European Union and NATO.
Dr. Andrianos joined a network of more than 12 thousand visitors and 346 exhibitors from 28 countries showcasing new weapons systems, innovative technologies, and the latest advancements in the field of defence equipment from both the domestic and international markets. Dr. Andrianos also had the opportunity to participate in the Matchmaking Event and engage with leading manufacturers, political and military officials.
