eBOS hosted the plenary meeting of the HORIZON Europe project ENVELOPE

On May 13th and 14th, the project ENVELOPE, titled ‘Evaluation and Validation of Connected Mobility fund in Real Open Systems Beyond 5GS’ (ENVELOPE), held its first physical plenary meeting in Nicosia, Cyprus, hosted by eBOS. This 36-month EU-funded Innovation Action, funded under the HORIZON Europe programme, officially started on January 1st, 2024.

Dr. Charalambos Klitis, R&D Senior Project Manager and Dr. Zouzias Dimitris, R&D Project Manager at eBOS, hosted the plenary meeting, which was chaired by Dr. Lazaros Gkatzikis, representing ICCS, as the Project Coordinator. The project’s 19 partners participated in the meeting with 29 physical participants and another 8, attending and participating remotely.

eBOS, as the leader of Work Package 5: ‘Open calls management and support to 3rd parties,’ presented the work plan and guidelines for managing the entire open calls process, which includes raising awareness, defining the necessary documentation, initiating and assessing the calls, overseeing the contracting process and providing assistance through the relevant help desk of the ENVELOPE platform.  

 

Moreover, the progress in WP8: ‘Dissemination, exploitation and international cooperation ‘was presented with eBOS being the leader of Task 8.4” ‘Exploitation strategy and IPR management’–leading the efforts on the development of a methodology, metrics, and templates to create a uniform and effective exploitation plans for ENVELOPE, including defining business metrics, legal rights and obligations, IP rights procedures, and individual exploitation plans. 

About ENVELOPE project

ENVELOPE is an EU-funded Innovation Action R&D project aiming to advance the 5G-Advanced architecture and transform it into a vertical-oriented one with the necessary interfaces tailored to the Connected Automated Mobility vertical use cases that i) expose network capabilities to verticals, ii) provide vertical-information to the network; and iii) enable verticals to dynamically request and modify certain network aspects, in an open, transparent and easy to use, semi-automated way.

eBOS Role

As the Open Call manager, eBOS is responsible for preparing and disseminating the project’s two open calls, leading the selection process, and managing sub-grant agreements for over nine sub-projects. eBOS also assesses public acceptance of the ENVELOPE platform and its use cases, leveraging its market expertise to enhance the project’s dissemination and communication plans. Moreover, eBOS is developing methodologies, metrics, and templates to create uniform exploitation plans, covering business metrics, legal rights, IP rights procedures, and individual plans.
