eBOS is delighted to participate in four new beyond 5G and 6G research and innovation projects
The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), which is part of the Horizon Europe 2021-2027 programme, has recently announced that it has selected its first portfolio of beyond 5G and 6G research and innovation projects for building a first-class European supply chain for advanced 5G systems and build Europe’s 6G technology capacities.
eBOS Technologies Ltd is delighted to participate in strong consortia with renowned universities, research institutes, MNOs, vendors, industrial leaders and other SMEs, in four new SNS JU projects, namely ADROIT6G, RIGOUROUS, 6G-BRICKS and FIDAL, all starting from January 2023. These projects extend eBOS ongoing participation in eight 5G and beyond research and innovation projects funded under the 5G-PPP framework.
ADROIT6G supports the EC’s 6G policy by implementing the first phase of the 6G SNS roadmap towards the evolution of a 6G architecture. ADROIT6G proposes disruptive innovations in the architecture of emerging 6G mobile networks that will make fundamental changes to the way networks are designed, implemented, operated, and maintained.
RIGOUROUS aspires to identify and address the major cybersecurity, trust and privacy risks threatening the network, devices, computing infrastructure, and next generation of services. RIGOUROUS will address these challenges by introducing a new holistic and smart service framework leveraging new AI/ML mechanisms, which can react dynamically to the ever-changing threat surface on all orchestration layers and network functions.
6G-BRICKS aims to deliver a new 6G testing facility, building on the baseline of mature ICT-52 platforms, that bring breakthrough cell-free and RIS technologies that have shown promise for beyond 5G networks. Novel unified control paradigms based on Explainable AI and Machine Reasoning will be explored. All enablers will be delivered in the form of reusable components with open APIs, termed “bricks“.
FIDAL targets the augmentation of human capabilities, allowing Media & PPDR vertical industry players to perform advanced technological and business validation in large-scale field trials, through the provision of advanced evolved 5G test infrastructures of highly innovative and advanced applications, that exploit evolved 5G technologies.
eBOS, through its participation in these projects, will advance their knowledge and reinforce their understanding in beyond 5G and 6G technologies extending the company’s R&D activities and capabilities, and enhancing their product portfolio with new innovative vertical software solutions, AI-as-a-Service, open flexible front-end dashboards, and friendly to use open APIs.
