eBOS Participates in COPA EUROPE Project's Final Plenary Meeting in Berlin on the 23rd and 24th of October 2023, Successfully Completing an Innovative Project

On October 23rd and 24th, the COPA EUROPE project, ‘COllaborative Platform for trAnsmedia storytelling and cross-channel distribution of EUROPEan sport events,’ held its face-to-face final plenary meeting in Berlin successfully completing a 36-month productive journey, which started on the 1st of November 2020.

COPA EUROPE has developed a cloud-based infrastructure for harvesting, accommodating, transmitting, and distributing digital media related to sports and competitive events. This includes the necessary infrastructure for content creators and live coverage producers to react to real-time outcomes through innovative workflows.

Our colleague, Dr. Elli Symeou, R&D Project Manager, participated in the plenary meeting, which was hosted by our partner, Fraunhofer Institute (FHHI), and chaired by Mr. Antonio Paradell, the coordinator of the COPA EUROPE project representing Worldline.

The consortium partners attended the meeting, which covered presentations of the project’s final results with the technological achievements at the heart of their work in achieving the project’s objectives and final preparations for the European Commission official review.

eBOS, as the Dissemination and Communication manager, presented the work completed within the work package towards disseminating the project’s results, maximising the impact of the project and successfully raising awareness. Moreover, as the task leader of the ethical supervision task, Dr. Symeou presented eBOS efforts over the years with emphasis on the compliance of the project execution and outputs to Ethical aspects and framework.

This project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 957059.
