eBOS Participates in the 1st Plenary Meeting of the CiROCCO Project in Cyprus on the 19th of October, 2023

On October 19th, the CiROCCO project, entitled “Enhancing the In-situ Environmental Observations across Under-sampled Deserts” held its first physical plenary meeting in Nicosia, Cyprus. This 36-month EU-funded Innovation Action, funded under the HORIZON Europe programme, officially started on the 1st of March 2023.

Dr. Marios Sophocleous, R&D/R&I Technical Project Manager and Mr. Stavros Chrysanthou, R&D Electronics Engineer at eBOS, participated in the plenary meeting, which was chaired by Prof. Marina Neophytou and Dr. Petros Mouzourides, representing UCY. 10 partners attended the meeting giving presentations on the project’s progress and future plans. Partners also discussed the project’s work plan, challenges, and implementation schedules.

eBOS, as the task leader on the pilot definition and requirements, presented the work plan and guidelines towards the pilot detailed definition and the elicitation of the functional and non-functional requirements. Furthermore, eBOS as the task leader in the development of the low-cost, sensing nodes, presented the progress and current status of the technological development of the low-cost sensing nodes as well as the time plan for the implementation of the systems in the pilots.
