eBOS Physically Participates at the First Plenary Meeting of the HORIZON Europe GUARDEN Project in Thessaloniki on the 18th-19th of October, 2023

On October 18th, the project GUARDEN, titled ‘safeGUARDing Biodiversity and Critical Ecosystem Services Across Sectors and Scales’ held its first physical plenary meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece. This 36-month EU-funded Research and Innovation Action, funded under the HORIZON Europe programme, officially started on the 1st of November 2022.

Mr. Christos Skoufis, R&D/R&I Senior Project Manager and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and Dr. Ioanna Ioannou, R&D Project Manager at eBOS, participated in the plenary meeting, which was chaired by Christodoulos Keratides, representing DRAXIS. The meeting was attended by the project’s 16 partners and featured partners’ presentations on the project’s progress and future plans. Partners also discussed the project’s work plan, challenges, and implementation schedules.

eBOS, as the leader of Work Package 5: ‘Case Studies for Innovative Governance and Impact Assessment,’ presented the work plan and guidelines towards the technological performance validation of the GUARDEN system and the evaluation of the project’s outcomes through real-life case studies. Moreover, eBOS as the leader of Task 4.4: ‘Integration of GUARDEN System and Development of GUARDEN DSAs’, presented the progress and steps to be taken for the integration and digitalization of the GUARDEN system and the development of its Decision Support Applications (DSAs).
