The TRUSTS use cases officially enter the execution phase!

The 4th Plenary Project Meeting of the EU-funded Horizon 2020 TRUSTS project ‘Trusted Secure Data Sharing Space’ took place online on the 14th and 15th of June 2021, under the leadership of the Project Coordinator, Ms. Alexandra Garatzogianni, representing the Leibniz University of Hannover (Germany), with 40 participants from the 17 partners of the Consortium in attendance.

18 months into the project implementation, the Plenary Meeting was the perfect time for officially launching the execution phase of the three TRUSTS use cases.

As the leader of the work package dedicated to the Demonstration of the TRUSTS platform, eBOS R&D Project Manager, Ms Gianna Avgousti, moderated the session dedicated to the use cases. She presented the preparatory work carried out to date as well as the planned timeline and activities. She also provided an elaborated description of the Anti-Money Laundering use case, led by eBOS, aiming at improving the detection of financial crime by combining data provided on the TRUSTS platform with the application of AI/ML enabled big data analytics algorithms.
The launch of the execution of the use cases was a positive and timely development ahead of the upcoming mid-term review of the project by the European Commission.

As knowledge exchange with independent external experts is considered crucial for the project’s long-term success, the 4th Plenary Meeting was also the first meeting where the Stakeholder Advisory Board (SAB) of the project was convened. The Board will formulate recommendations for maximising the impact of the project.

TRUSTS project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 871481.
